What's with this suit-wearing culture of Paris? I've never seen more people wearing suits in my entire life. Whether he works in a pharmacy, a bank or a supermarket... Everybody wear suits. Tho the suit itself is not the problem; it's what the suit stands for: a boring, rigid and fake work environment. I have never seen a smiling suit-wearer. Have you ever seen one?
This entire culture makes my decision of keeping my freelancer status even more relevant. Would a suit make me a better statistician? Would a neck-tie lower my blood pressure when a certain syntax refuses to run according to plan?
I'm telling you this: nothing beats working from home. Wearing your jeans or PJs, drinking your home brewed coffee, with the TV in the background... If you get bored you can easily mount your bike and go operate from starbucks, younes, or any other coffee shop. You could even take your dog for a walk around lunch time.
In my case freelancing is what suits me the most. It's the only way, I can keep up with my training regimen and not having to deal with other people's mood swings.
The problem is, I can not do this in Paris...
Is the summer officially over?
-
With the winter season knocking on the door, our long Lebanese summer has
officially ended. Gotta respect the laws of nature or else we'd be in big
troub...

I am really sorry you feel this way...
I hope you find that happy medium that works for you just right.
I think we are all continually in search for it.
