New Orleans

Well I finally made it to New Orleans, it took me 26 hours, but finally got there. I also had to miss my connection flight from Atlanta courtesy of the U.S custom officer; he found it a bit suspicious that I was a bit chubbier on my photo passport, so he sent me to this special room… wooooo. Anyhow I got on the next plane.

Back to New Orleans, Lovely town, my hotel is in the French quarter (for those who are France fanatics: it is not a real frenchy architecture more of a Euro Disney type of houses with French street names). The French quarter itself is a festive place! Counted more than 85 pubs/bars and restos, mostly Jazz and blues, and this coming week end, they are organizing the French Quarter Annual Festival! Don't know what it's like but from what I have seen so far, it looks promising J

Today was an exploratory day, had to check the neighborhood, so took that as an excuse to go for light 60 minutes run J Located the essential parts: Grocery stores, Bike shops, Radioshacks, shoe stores, and for all of you alcohol fanatics ;-) I located the best bars in town, and yes I will go there!

Weather is great, similar to Beirut. People are extremely nice and somewhat religious, but hey they're huge…
