Mellow afternoon

I am currently in the bus, On my way to Beirut, Beethoven last night
on the iPod. I always hated our local commuting system, but I always
consider it as a payback to the civil society, in a way trying to
decrease the number of cars, hence decreasing traffic; plus it is a
good excuse for me to walk, not that I need it but the more the
merrier. Today I had my first ride since the cycling season ended on
november 29. It is very nice to get to ride your bike just for fun.
These couple of weeks are my favorite part of the season; no pain, no
strict riding regimen, no burning lactic acids in the legs, just
simple 2+ hours cruising rides through the mountains.
After the ride had the chance to spend some time with Amy, watch TV...
Things I rarely have the chance to do.

Rain is coming, so is my stopping station, umbrella is in the car...

Good Morning Beirut

I woke up at seven

Fought sleepiness for about ten minutes

Decided to sleep again

Woke up again at fifteen passed seven

Left the bed

Put on my jeans, black sweater,

Black jacket and blue campers

Went to the bathroom

Took my toothbrush

Put some Colgate on it

Started brushing my teeth

Got back to my room

While brushing my teeth

Checked my email

One e-mail from Monster's Job

Back to the bathroom

Stared at the mirror

While still brushing my teeth

"Are they clean now?

Who said that I should

Brush them for three minutes?

It always seems like an eternity"

Two minutes later

Spat in the sink

Washed my mouth

Right when partner

Started the hair drier

"its sound makes me hysterical"

Meanwhile played with the cat

While kicking the second

Cat out of the way

At seven forty five

Partner was ready

Packed up our lunch

Grabbed our omelet sandwiches

Seven forty eight

Started the car's engine

No music this morning

Too sleepy to listen to any music

Ironically, not sleepy enough

To listen to Arnaud Pontus

And Valerie Roy on RFI

Reading the European news

Fifteen passed eight

Dropped partner at work

Five minutes later

Arrived at work

Greeted the brave colleagues

Who fought their way

Through the traffic

To show up for their work

It is almost ten

And so far my day's

Deliverables are a cup of tea

And a blog post

Black books: altered reality

I love to buy books
That I'll never read
I love their smell
Their color
And their soft texture
They make
me feel
Intellectually and
Culturaly superior
I can trade them
For other books
That I'll never read
Other people will
Love me
Other people who
Buy books that
They'll never read
Together we can
Spend hours discussing
Books that we never read
Reciting verses of books
That other people
Have read
Sharing ideas that
Are not our own
Celebrating ignorance
In its utmost bliss

Merry Xmas

2012

After watching 2012 I wish the world had ended 20 minutes after the
movie had started!
